Scoring
How the redirect score works
The score measures the SEO health of the redirect chain — fewer hops, correct status codes, and consistent HTTPS yield a higher score.
90 – 100
Clean
Direct 301 or single-hop chain with HTTPS. Ideal.
70 – 89
Good
Mostly correct with minor chain length or mixed protocol issues.
40 – 69
Needs work
Multiple hops or a 302 where 301 should be used — link equity loss likely.
0 – 39
Poor
Redirect loop, too many hops, or broken chain — crawl and equity problems expected.
